This is a remote position – must live in OH, FL or NV and near a Cleveland Clinic Location for some onsite IT items.

The Beaker CPI Systems Analyst is a hands-on, problem-solving role focused on supporting and optimizing clinical laboratory information systems, with an emphasis on Blood Bank (LIS) operations. This position requires strong critical-thinking skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical end users.


You will serve as a key point of contact for system-related service requests, working closely with laboratory staff to troubleshoot issues, provide re-education, and ensure system functionality meets operational needs. Responsibilities include documenting findings, performing system testing during upgrades and projects, and supporting ongoing system enhancements.


This role actively participates in the implementation and optimization of clinical information systems by developing, configuring, and testing application functionality. The analyst collaborates with interdisciplinary project teams and clinical departments to ensure successful system deployments and assists in the development and delivery of training programs related to automated and clinical systems.

 
A caregiver in this position works on a remote schedule from 8:00AM – 4:30PM, with on-call shift once a quarter 

 
A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Interact with end users to define problems.  

  • Coordinate and conduct education and end user training programs to ensure systems are utilized as designed.  

  • Assist with end user documentation development or a permanent reference for clear, concise information.  

  • Provide implementation assistance for system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle with direction from the Lead Analyst.  

  • Perform technical configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support for clinical information systems and applications. 

  • Contribute to solution design and development as an active member of project teams. 

  • Provide project updates and report progress during operational meetings with end‑users. 

  • Assess and observe clinical workflows to build solutions that meet operational needs, including gathering and documenting requirements. 

  • Participate in project planning, coordination, and implementation activities. 

  • Troubleshoot system issues and deliver timely fixes, updates, and enhancements. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and one year of applicable hospital/major medical center/major clinical information system experience  

  • OR High School Diploma/GED, one year of relevant experience and four years of healthcare IT experience  

  • OR Associate's Degree, one year of relevant experience and two years of healthcare experience can  

  • Experience typically supported by a license in a medically related field, such as Nursing, Pharmacy Assisting, Medical Assisting, Medical Technology or EMT 

  • Technical certification for certain departments  

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date 

  • Familiarity with the processes and procedures related to healthcare regulatory agencies 

  • In-depth knowledge of clinical theory and practice 

 
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Ability to manage time effectively, work autonomously, and prioritize 

  • Laboratory clinical background 

  • Microsoft office suite applications experience  

 

Physical Requirements:

  • High degree of dexterity to produce materials on a computer.
  • Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing.
  • Ability to verbally communicate and sufficient mobility to attend clinical meetings throughout organization.
  • The position must be available after hours for support by pager and computer dial-in.
