Description

The Accounting Intern will support the accounting team in the financial and accounting duties for the firm.  


Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Assist with organizing, filing, and archiving financial records to maintain accurate and accessible documentation
  • Perform account reconciliations for company bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for month-end close processes
  • Provide assistance with accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and tracking payments
  • Help ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures to support financial compliance
  • Assist in identifying discrepancies or errors in financial data and support corrective actions
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed


Requirements

The following qualifications are requirements of the position:

  • Current enrollment in a college or university in pursuit of a Major in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. 
  • Familiarity with basic Corporate Accounting principles 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and accounting software experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
