Responsibilities Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process and management Operates sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment to control flow and processing of sewage Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations Assist with the installation and inspection of new wastewater utilities Read and interpret meters and gauges that monitor the purification process and operation Operates and maintains water distribution system including servicing of pumps, motors, valves, generators, and equipment  Analyzes and evaluates pump equipment, trouble-shooting malfunctions, and monitoring of water operations  Responsible for daily inspections of all plant equipment and perform repairs of machinery and equipment as needed Collects and records data for record maintenance Performs facility grounds maintenance including cleaning equipment and tanks, cutting grass, and various other ‘housekeeping’ duties Performs other related duties as directed   #ZR Job Listings - ClearWater Solutions       QualificationsJob Qualifications High school diploma or GED Water & Wastewater Operator Dual Certification is preferred: Grade B Surface Water or higher and/ or a Grade 2 Wastewater or higher Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records required Experience within a water/wastewater treatment environment Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Ability to work independently Strong attention to detail Must be available to work overtime and ‘on-call’ rotation as needed   Work Environment Outdoor work environment on active construction sites. Exposure to dirt, dust, loud noise, and varying weather conditions. May involve extended hours, including overtime and weekends as required by project schedules.   Physical Requirements Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow). Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted; occasionally required to lift heavier objects with assistance or mechanical aids. Must be able to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights, including ladders, scaffolding, or into vaults, manholes, and tanks. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools, operate valves, and use instrumentation or control devices. Visual and auditory ability to detect, identify, and diagnose equipment malfunctions or leaks in piping and system components. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, safety harnesses, gloves, and protective clothing. Able to safely enter and work in hazardous environments including those with strong odors, loud noise, and potential chemical exposure. Must maintain physical readiness to respond quickly to emergency repairs or system failures, including after-hours or on-call assignments.
