We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as an Energy Efficiency Customer Support Specialist! This isn’t your typical call center job - we are an inbound contact center helping utility customers save money, make their homes more energy efficient and help our climate improve through change!

How we’re different…

  • Each customer interaction focuses around energy efficiency
  • You will support multiple programs using multiple platforms, providing a range of services, including customer service, visit scheduling, customer enrollment, program offering education, tech support, online support, and/or status updates
  • Each call can be a different utility customer and require a different type of service
  • Wide range of support scripts – verbatim, talking points, or simple usage guides
  • Some programs utilize chat/email interactions with customers
  • Personal performance data and progress accessible in real time

Exciting candidates have…

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Ability to type 35+ WPM
  • No attendance or punctuality concerns
  • Ability to thrive in an intensive environment, balancing customer support while navigating multiple platforms simultaneously
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous experience within a customer-facing environment required; Call Center experience in an inbound/outbound sales environment preferred
  • Sales-oriented with a focus on customer service satisfaction
  • “How can I help you?” attitude

Remote Work Requirements:

  • We provide a laptop, software, and all necessary equipment
  • Home Internet requirements:
    • Internet speed that meets our minimum standard:
      • 10 Mbps upload / 20 Mbps download / 99% latency
      • Google: ‘free speed test’ if you are unsure
    • Ability to hardwire internet, plug directly into router
  • Environment:
    • Dedicated home office space, free of personal disruptions
    • Two power connections
  • You are scheduled to be on the phone throughout the entirety of your shift – no flexibility to answer the door or be on-call care for others during scheduled work hours

Compensation:

$17 / hour + $65 / month internet stipend

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
