About The Role:

Arbor Homes is currently looking to hire a Land Development Project Manager to manage development projects and deliver finished lots for residential construction. The job entails working in a fast paced, team environment while managing contractors, schedules, and budgets over self-developed projects. Arbor Land Development allows for flexible schedules, centered around performance and is very family oriented. Arbor is focused on employee growth and offers tremendous opportunities for career development.  Land specific experience in any of the following: inspections, utilities, sitework contractors, municipal employees, zoning, permitting, is preferred; New home construction experience preferred but not required.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Manage and supervise subcontractors to ensure jobs are completed to the approved specifications and on time.
  • Oversee the development performed by outside developers where Arbor purchases finished lots.
  • Manage budgets and spending to minimize variance and deliver lots at projected costs.
  • Project contractor schedules and manage the job so that lots are available when needed for sales.
  • Coordinate with utilities and municipalities to complete necessary work and inspections.
  • Manage jobsites to ensure compliance with all local and federal regulations.

What Will You Bring?

  • Ability to be a team player at the largest residential land development company in the state of Indiana with a great positive attitude and looking for opportunities for continued career development.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.  Past experience in land development and/or project management related positions is of most importance.  Prefer 5-years of field related experience.
  • Ability to learn quickly on the job
  • Ability to communicate effectively with contractors and peers
  • Experience with land development, including but not limited to possible past experience in excavating, road construction, surveying, inspections, or city government planning and engineering would be preferred.
