eneral Expectations:

Forklift operators are responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas and work centers.

Duties /Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with Shipping/Receiving Area Coordinator and Materials Manager

• Loading, unloading of materials

• Maintains quality expectation of documentation and reports accordingly

• Transports raw material to production workers

• Maintains daily logs and report shortages

• Inspect equipment

• Performs other duties as required by management

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team.

• Attention to detail.

• General building material knowledge.

• Ability to read and write effectively all job-related functions.

• Knowledge of basic mathematics.

• Must be able to assist in maintaining lumber/rafter yard and sheds with proper housekeeping skills.

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of continuous experience of forklift operation.

• Must have good organizational skills.

• Must have patience and work well under pressure

• Must be flexible with working hours and duties.

• Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic.

• Displays a great attitude and models teamwork, assisting other forklift operators in every department.

Education & Qualifications:

• Preferred forklift experience.

• Able to pass forklift operator’s driving assessment.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree.

• 100% of work to be performed in an outdoor environment subject weather, noise, and dust.

• This position is crucial to the efficient operation of the facility. Applicant must understand the challenge to replace a forklift operator when absent.
