Clayton Supply Morristown is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our distribution warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, load, and unload products efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, or other equipment as required) safely and efficiently
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using proper procedures
Accurately pick, transport, and place inventory in designated warehouse locations
Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and inventory teams
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
Basic math and inventory skills
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Safety & Compliance
Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA regulations
Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
