About this role
We are looking for a Senior QA to join our LS&H (Policy Automation) in Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Policy Automation product. The team consists of 5 and is reporting to the Senior Manager. We have a great skill set in manual, API and automation and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in manual + Automation (Cypress/ Selenium) and API testing
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or master’s degree (BE, ME, B Tech, M Tech, MCA)
2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (Manual + Automation).
Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle (DLC).
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
Good understanding of API testing tools (Postman, Swagger).
Familiarity with JavaScript, Java, or Python for automation scripting.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
It would be great if you also had
ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced Level)
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution.
What will you be doing in this role?
Design and Implement Test plans & cases: Develop test plans & cases and system integrations, and enterprise workflows.
Test Automation using Cypress/Selenium/Playwright & JavaScript: Develop, and maintain scalable, stable, and efficient end-to-end test automation cases for web-based UIs and APIs.
Manual and Exploratory Testing: Conduct detailed manual and exploratory testing for complex business scenarios and workflows, especially those that require deep domain understanding.
Defect Reporting & Root Cause Analysis: Log detailed, high-quality defect reports and perform root cause analysis in collaboration with developers and business analysts to ensure fast resolution and high product quality.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing and early defect detection.
Code Reviews & Best Practices: Participate in peer code reviews for automation scripts, ensure adherence to testing standards, and drive improvements in test architecture and maintainability.
Mentorship: Mentor junior QA team members on automation best practices, tools, and domain knowledge.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with product owners, developers, business analysts to understand feature requirements, edge cases, and business impact to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Product you will be developing
About the Team
The existing team with strong technical and analytical skills. You would be part of the QA team which further works in different products with in a teams. Each team within product consists of 2-3 QAs working on both manual and automation areas. This position is for Bangalore location.
Hours of Work
This is permanent position with Clarivate. You will be working in IST time zone. 9 hours of work per day including 1-hour lunch break. We have hybrid working model with at least 3 days per week.
