About this role

We are looking for an Epidemiologist to join the epidemiology team at Clarivate, in our Barcelona office.

About you

  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology or Public Health, or higher, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Systematic literature review experience
  • SAS analysis skill
  • A strong methodological background in epidemiology
  • Familiar with MS Office including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Would be great if you also had

  • Experience mentoring and supervising staff
  • Experience with client interaction
  • Experience analysing large data sets
  • Claims data analysis experience in SQL and/or Python
  • Oncology experience
  • RWD experience

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Conducts research using online grey literature datasets such as National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), HCUP, cancer registries, government survey data, and other resources to summarize current information on prevalence. 
  • Forecasts numbers (via analyses) for a variety of diseases; and suggest use of proxy data sources or develop imputation or extrapolation models when country-specific sources are not available. 
  • Assists with other programs and units within Company, for instance, by helping to maintain and enhance a sources database and by contributing to new products and proprietary consulting projects globally. 
  • Conduct literature reviews to support ad-hoc requests from clients for custom or managed service projects.  
  • Support the Epi Production team including in uploading, aligning, and publishing syndicated epidemiology reports on the Insights Platform (or platform used by Company for displaying results to clients).  
  • Collaborate with Clarivate Disease or Therapy Experts to develop methodology strategies as needed.

Hours of Work  

This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August). The position is hybrid going to our office in Barcelona (next to Sagrada Familia) 2-3 times per week.
