The Clarios Advanced Energy Storage Software Team is searching for an individual interested in contributing on a team tasked with developing new energy storage technology.  We are searching for an experienced Software Architecture Engineer to design software architecture for our advanced energy storage systems.  This position will specialize in the Application software portion of the architecture. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of the Application software
• Lead and support the development of standardized common software modules
• Define interfaces between the Basic Software (BSW) and Application Software (ASW)
• Define dynamic behavior and set resource consumption targets
• Coordinate software development with software suppliers
• Specify calibration data, configuration data, and software component strategies for multiple projects
• Collaborate with the Systems and Modeling Engineering teams to develop algorithms and diagnostics
• Manage work through the use of configuration management and issue tracking tools
• Support creation and review of software requirement specifications, models, and code
• Execute the software development process and make improvements to process and infrastructure
• Participate in cross-functional project planning and review events
• Assess proposed features and perform impact analysis as a member of the SW Change Control Board
• Coach team members to promote best practices and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems software development for safety-critical systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on programming C embedded software
• Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on testing and debugging C embedded software
• Excellent technical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Experience working in the Agile Scrum framework
• Experience with ASPICE software development processes
• Experience with product development per functional safety and security goals
• Experience collaborating with global team members
• Experience with Jira project tracking software
• Experience with formal software requirements tools such as IBM DOORS and Jama
• Experience with software architectural design including UML
• Experience with AUTOSAR authoring tools such as Vector DaVinci
• Experience with Model-based Code Generation tools such as MathWorks Coder and dSPACE TargetLink
• Experience with unit verification tools such as QAC and Cantata
• Experience tracking metrics such as resource utilization and memory usage
• Experience with automotive communication interfaces such as CAN and LIN
• Experience with Vector testing tools such as CANoe, CANape, and CANalyzer
