What you will do

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in sourcing and managing suppliers across the capital equipment portfolio to support Clarios’ global manufacturing growth and investment initiatives. You’ll support and lead procurement activities for new and replacement Capital projects, ensuring supply decisions are both cost-effective and strategically aligned with long-term operational needs.  You’ll work closely with global and regional partners across the capital sourcing landscape, serving as a key liaison between Procurement leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. This role combines tactical execution with strategic insight to ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery of mission-critical equipment and services. 

How you will do it

• Source and procure capital equipment, spare parts, and related services to meet project and production timelines
• Execute RFQs, evaluate vendor proposals, and manage bid reviews with key stakeholders
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and maintain scorecards to drive accountability
• Partner with global and regional suppliers to negotiate commercial terms and optimize cost and lead times
• Analyze technical specs and pricing data to support sourcing decisions and supplier development
• Support the creation of demand forecasts and capacity planning inputs based on business needs
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, EH&S, and Program Management to align procurement actions with project goals
• Maintain procurement records, supplier contracts, and budget tracking documents
• Support capital approval documentation by consolidating quotes, timelines, and project justification
• Escalate supply risks and propose resolutions to mitigate potential impacts
• Analyze our Spare Parts suppliers and tail spend for synergies and savings opportunities
• Manage a Spare Parts Program the supports all plants including Purchase Orders
• Track and log savings targets

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Operations and Engineering with hands-on experience in Capital Equipment Sourcing.
• Some Travel required
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Experience in Capital and Construction Procurement
