Healthcare Maintenance Technician

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time | [Days]

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Healthcare Maintenance Technician to support the safe, clean, and fully functional environment of our healthcare facility. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with safety standards while providing timely maintenance support for residents, patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
  • Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
  • Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts.
  • Does routine maintenance on all company vehicles when assigned.
  • Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
  • May assist the Director of Plant and/or performs work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required
  • Previous maintenance experience required (skilled nursing experience preferred )
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work
  • Life safety knowledge required
