<p data-path-to-node="3">We're looking for an <strong data-path-to-node="3" data-index-in-node="21">AWS Cost Optimization Specialist</strong>. At Clara, our infrastructure is the backbone of our financial services, and managing it efficiently is key to our scalability and unit economics. You will design and execute Clara’s <strong data-path-to-node="3" data-index-in-node="237">AWS</strong> cost optimization strategy, moving beyond simple monitoring to proactive financial engineering.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="4">Your mission is to bridge the gap between Engineering and Finance, ensuring that every dollar spent on the cloud translates into direct value for our customers. You will drive visibility into cost per transaction and cost per product while building the automated governance required for a high-growth fintech.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="5"><strong data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="0">Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<p data-path-to-node="6,0,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Strategy & Analysis:</strong> Design and execute the global <strong data-path-to-node="6,0,0" data-index-in-node="51">AWS</strong> cost optimization strategy, continuously identifying savings across <strong data-path-to-node="6,0,0" data-index-in-node="123">EC2</strong>, <strong data-path-to-node="6,0,0" data-index-in-node="128">ECS</strong>, and <strong data-path-to-node="6,0,0" data-index-in-node="137">Aurora</strong> clusters.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="6,1,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Governance & Tagging:</strong> Implement standardized tagging strategies for precise cost allocation by domain, squad, country, and product.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="6,2,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Infrastructure Optimization:</strong> Optimize <strong data-path-to-node="6,2,0" data-index-in-node="38">AWS</strong> Kafka clusters, OpenSearch storage strategies, and networking/data transfer costs to ensure lean operations.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="6,3,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">FinOps Automation:</strong> Define and implement automated shutdown policies for non-production environments and configure advanced anomaly detection and budget alerts.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="6,4,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,4,0" data-index-in-node="0">Data & Dashboards:</strong> Build executive and operational dashboards using <strong data-path-to-node="6,4,0" data-index-in-node="68">AWS</strong> Cost Explorer, <strong data-path-to-node="6,4,0" data-index-in-node="87">Athena</strong>, or QuickSight to provide real-time visibility into cloud spend.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="6,5,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,5,0" data-index-in-node="0">Architectural Partnership:</strong> Partner with engineering teams to design cost-efficient architectures and establish long-term cloud financial governance standards.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="11,2,0">Mastery of <strong data-path-to-node="11,2,0" data-index-in-node="11">AWS</strong> Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and multi-account environment management via <strong data-path-to-node="11,2,0" data-index-in-node="95">AWS</strong> Organizations.</p>

<p data-path-to-node="11,3,0">Experience implementing FinOps best practices and strong understanding of cost modeling.</p>

<p data-start="161" data-end="511">Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.</p>
