The Real Estate Advisor III provides senior professional real estate advisory services to support the City of Ottawa's Light Rail Transit (LRT) Program, including P3 (DBFOM) capital projects and LRT lines in active operation.
The position is responsible for managing complex property acquisitions, access arrangements, and third-party interests required to ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of the LRT system. The role requires independent professional judgment, advanced negotiation skills, and direct interface with rail operators, maintainers, private-sector partners, utilities, and adjacent landowners.

Completion of 3 year university degree or community college diploma in economics, geography, business management, real estate law, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressive real estate experience, applying functions relating to one or more of the following: real property acquisition/disposition, property management/leasing, multiple stakeholder negotiations, encroachment, land management, real estate financial analysis/administration, expropriation and/or environmental assessments). At least 3 of these years should include experience in a municipal government setting.
