Physical Therapist I – Per Diem

A Physical Therapist provides high-quality patient care through evaluation, treatment planning, and the application of physical therapy modalities and procedures. Additionally, this role involves family training to support patient recovery. All practices are performed in compliance with the regulations governing Physical Therapy and in alignment with the philosophy and policies of City of Hope. This role will support in an outpatient setting.

 

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Screen patients to determine need for intervention and initiates referrals as appropriate
  • Evaluate patients using appropriate age specific tools. Interprets data in order to plan treatment.
  • Establish goals and treatment plans based on evaluation data, rehabilitation potential, discharge plans, and in coordination with goals and plans of patient, family and other care team members.
  • Modify treatment program according to patient needs and progress, terminates treatment appropriately, and develops appropriate discharge and post discharge plans.
  • Complete evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and third party reimbursement reports per established departmental requirements.
  • Assign treatments to physical therapy aides and physical therapist assistants. Assess quality of care provided.


Your qualifications should include:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited school or Masters equivalent
  • Entry level position, no experience required but interest in oncology preferred
  • Current Physical Therapist license in the State of California or PTLA status in the state of California
  • BLS through the American Heart Association Certification

     

 

Additional Information:

  • Hourly Per Diem Rate: $58.80
