With the hospital open, the full continuum of advanced cancer care—from prevention through survivorship—is available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature 73 inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. This isn’t standard cancer care. This is lifesaving cancer care. This is Hope.

 

In this role, we are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our growing team! You will be responsible for preparing specimens and conducting clinical laboratory procedures, ranging from waived to high complexity, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines such as SOPs, FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA, and Joint Commission standards. This position offers a sign-on bonus and presents an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals in the field.

 

This is an Evening shift position; 02:00pm – 10:30pm (hours may vary); initial training hours may be conducted during day shift hours.

 

Additional Note: This position requires flexibility to accommodate varying patient needs. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call responsibilities and mandatory overtime may also be necessary.

 

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Perform a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules. Completes procedures within established turnaround times

  • Perform quality control procedures including preventive maintenance, calibrations, review of controls, and records data on appropriate forms.  Support and participate in the Quality Assurance efforts and Performance Improvement process.

  • Utilize standard laboratory equipment, and records and checks result for completeness and accuracy.  Performs data entry of diagnostic information.

  • EPIC Beaker experience (highly preferred)



Your qualifications should include:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Military applicants without a Bachelor’s degree with the approval of CDPH-LFS (California Department of Public Health – Laboratory Field Services)

  • Minimum 2 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist

  • California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Highly Preferred: CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist) – MTA)

  • Note: For candidates with < 2 years of experiences, may be considered for Clinical Laboratory Scientist I (Pay Range: $43.17/hr - $55.04/hr - $66.92/hr)
