What do you want to be today?  Edmonton Public Library is looking for a fun and team-oriented shelving ninja (aka Page) to join our team!  This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and very organized neat-freak who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. 
 
What we're looking for:
At EPL our mission is simple: we share! Our Pages are versatile, flexible people who want to make a difference in the community.  They ensure that our materials are on the shelves for customers and staff to find; they use their powers and knowledge to shelve, move and search for library items. 
 


  • High School Diploma (or GED) is essential.
  • Experience in a library or customer service environment is an asset.

  • Ability to provide effective customer service.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute positively and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to file alpha-numerically.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to use personal computers in a Windows environment.

Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements of the Page position include lifting library materials, reaching to place materials on shelves, pushing and pulling bins and carts, and frequent standing, walking, and bending.

Pay Band:
$23.03 - $29.38 per hour
Approximately $42,075 - $53,688 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
Shift differential may apply in accordance with the terms and conditions of the CSU 52 Collective Agreement.
 
Note:
  • This position consists of varied schedules including day, evening and weekend shifts.
  • This position will work out of EPL's new Warehouse and Delivery Centre (15508 114 Avenue).
