JOB TITLE: Aquatic Attendant
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt – Part Time
DEPARTMENT: CRE/Aquatics
SUPERVISOR: Aquatics Manager
SALARY: $11.33 Per Hour
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, will perform duties such as safety enforcement, greeting patrons, and janitorial services.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enforce facility rules to ensure a safe environment. Duty stations include slide area, door greeting, and spray park and boat rentals.
Assist with Learn to Swim Lessons. Wearing the appropriate swimsuit and entering the pool is required.
Check pool deck area for hazards by completing pool safety checklist and reporting/documenting any/all unsafe conditions found.
Pick up and dispose of all trash on/or around the pool deck and on facility grounds, straighten all deck furniture as needed.
Return any lost and found equipment or items to the front desk personnel.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Basic Aquatic facility structure.
English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Work independently in the absence of supervision.
Respond to requests and inquiries from the public.
Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
Swimming requirements to maintain ability to assist with Learn to Swim Lessons.
General lifting of no more than 50 pounds with assistance of other employees.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders to elevated guard chairs.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Required:
None
Preferred:
One (1) or more years of customer service experience
First Aid/CPR/AED certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing. The employee is also required to maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time and lifting to 50 pounds. Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
Working Environment:
Aquatic facility that will include loud, constant noises, higher humidity levels. Working from a taller height can be required.
