Purpose:
Under general direction, coordinate and prioritize health program presentations and education needs of the community.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

Develop, evaluate and coordinate plans, criteria, etc. for variety of projects, program activities, etc.
Train personnel.
Assist in developing performance evaluations.
Write informational reports.
Speak as city representative before public groups.
Conduct needs assessments.
Evaluate programs for effectiveness & accomplishment of goals.
Evaluate needs assessment data to determine course of action i.e. training, new program, etc.
Develop & conduct public information & education programs.
Design visual presentation materials.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to health education, nursing or health related field, plus three (3) years of experience in a field related to health education.
Related experience may substitute for education up to a max of four (4) years.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Appropriate certifications as specified for the assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with the WIC Program.
Bilingual - English/Spanish
Experience in training/educating large groups.
Ability to work outside normal business hours.
Ability to travel to locations throughout the state of Texas for job related purposes.
Current Registered Dietitian.
Advanced knowledge of and has implemented HHSC WIC policies and procedures.
Position Overview
Under general direction, this position is responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering, and assessing training programs for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Local and State-wide staff.
Salary Range:
$56,070.00 - $67,570.00
Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM
(some occasional nights and weekends)
