The Austin Facilities Management’s (AFM) mission is to provide reliable, efficient and sustainable City facilities. We provide property management, custodial, maintenance, project management and other asset management services to optimize the comfort and operational efficiency for our fellow City Departments.
Internship - Undergraduate Level:
1. Observes and assists professionals in the assigned department to learn about areas of career interest.
2. Assists, as necessary, in the coordination, administration, or monitoring of specific programs.
3. Assists, as necessary, with researching, collecting and organizing data, performing analyses, and preparing reports to supplement knowledge gained through academic courses.
4. Participates, as necessary, in finding solutions to existing problems and discusses recommendations with administrative personnel to acquire skills in problem solving.
5. Assists with special projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Internship – Undergraduate Level
Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
Enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate degree program, with some advanced coursework related to the internship program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
Coursework or training in architecture, engineering, drafting, or a related technical field
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8am – 5 pm with a flexible schedule.

$23.13 per hour
