FUEL TECHNICIAN-CALIBRATION

ROLE SUMMARY
The Fuel Calibration Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate calibration of fuel dispensing meters and the maintenance of fuel dispensing equipment. This position supports compliance with state and federal regulations while contributing to overall operational efficiency and safety standards. The Technician collaborates with team members to uphold high standards of service and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct precise calibration of fuel dispensing meters to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Obtain and maintain annual fuel calibration certifications in line with state and federal guidelines.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including changing filters, pumping water from tanks, and replacing hoses and nozzles.
• Execute preventative maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment to enhance reliability and performance.
• Complete and submit work orders, warranty forms, and other necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to established procedures and regulations; document and communicate actions and irregularities to maintain team continuity.
• Participate in training for both existing and new equipment to stay current with industry standards.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve financial and key performance targets as outlined by company goals.

REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or GED; relevant experience and education may be considered as a substitute for formal education.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or related fields preferred.
• Ability to tow a calibration trailer using a company vehicle.
• Proficient in using power and hand tools.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong ability to work independently in a confidential and demanding retail setting.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured as a driver.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Ability to drive daily, occasionally for extended periods.
• Regular outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
• Proficient in data entry using a computer keyboard and mouse.

• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated.
• Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects up to 100 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and perform tasks involving crouching and/or crawling.
