CIP TT – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Student Assistant (internally called Analyst) to join the Commercial & Project Management team for the Flagship Funds Europe in Copenhagen.
The team
The Commercial & Project Management team is part of the Flagship Funds Europe organization under CIP TT responsible for the delivery of CIP’s investments across the Flagship Fund strategy. The team works closely with other teams across the CIP platform, such as Investment teams and fund services. You will support in managing development, construction, and operational projects for CIP’s portfolio across technologies such as onshore wind, solar PV, and storage.
The role
As a Student Assistant (Analyst) you will contribute to the development, construction, operation, and optimization of CIP’s investments in Europe. You will work closely together with our highly experienced teams in an international and engaging environment. We will constantly seek to inspire you, while focusing on your learning and personal development. Working with our skilled team members, the right candidate will build a solid commercial and contractual understanding of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Furthermore, high-achieving Analysts may receive an offer to join us as a full-time Associate upon graduation.
The position is part-time and based in Copenhagen at our office in Nordhavn. The average workload is about 20 hours / week, but may vary depending on the number of projects you are working on.
Key work areas:
- Drive commercial and analytical workstreams on projects across financial, technical, and legal/contractual topics that enhance value as well as mitigate risk across the investment portfolio
- Collaborate with internal teams, CIP platform companies, developers, industrial partners and advisors to advance projects through their lifecycle
- Translate technical, financial, and contractual data into actionable insights and visualize and present to stakeholders
- Support the preparation of reporting and decision material to senior CIP stakeholders and investors
- Assist in advancing initiatives to improve performance and profitability of renewable energy infrastructure projects
- Support on business case and sensitivities analyses to inform strategic decisions
You
The ideal candidate is a 2nd or 3rd year BSc student or 1st year MSc student in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Law or other relevant fields.
We look for the following in a candidate:
- Solid academic background with fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is beneficial
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a structured and analytical approach to tasks
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving abilities and a spirit of inquiry
- Ability to consistently deliver high quality output in a time-sensitive setting
- Interest in investments, corporate finance, strategy, engineering, and renewable energy
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across seniority levels
- Thrives in complex international environments with an initiative-driven and detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and project management capabilities
- Experience in energy and infrastructure is beneficial, but not a requirement
