About this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall content and communication strategy, including marketing communication plans, public image management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure consistent and positive brand representation.
  • Develop and implement CIO investments and advisory content strategy, media strategy, and communication plans for Preferred and Private Banking regionally.
  • Craft content and PR stories related to Affluent Products & Proposition and Private Banking products and services.
  • Assist in content development and marketing materials for CIMB Preferred and Private Banking clients, as requested by relationship managers and marketing teams.
  • Support CIO communication initiatives, including morning conference call materials, promotional write‑ups, client meeting decks, and email communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Secure media interviews, pitch editorials/stories to media editors, and achieve high PR value for the CIO.
  • Manage a small but highly efficient team of content strategists and publication specialists.
  • Ensure all branding and communication efforts align with CIO goals and values, manage CIO’s public reputation, and collaborate with other departments to integrate communication efforts into overall business strategy.
  • Support marketing efforts and contribute ideas related to Preferred and Private Banking.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge and passion for the ASEAN wealth management and investments landscape.
  • Coach, guide, and impart knowledge to younger team members and PB bankers on content development and communication matters, including formal teaching.
  • Stay updated on wealth management and investment market developments, including regulatory, government, political, geopolitical, and macroeconomic trends.
  • Formulate a digital insights knowledge ecosystem for internal stakeholders, a real-time knowledge portal to enhance RM and advisor efficiency.
  • Lead the development of an external real-time market insights portal to position the bank as a frontrunner in market insights.
  • Develop and implement the overall investment products content strategy and communication plan.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline (Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, Communication, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of content development, PR, media, and communications.
  • Familiarity with wealth management and investment products/services.
  • Ability to drive high PR value through strategic communication.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing content and communication strategies from scratch.
  • Experience with various media channels (traditional, digital, social media).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business development knowledge.
