What you’ll be doing
As an Analyst in the Office of the COO at CIBC Global Asset Management, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment alongside a collaborative and high-performing team. You will support the Director, Transformation & Strategic Initiatives, in driving cross-functional projects focused on investment solutioning and investment operations, enterprise data, technology modernization, infrastructure transformation, operational efficiency, and geographical market expansion. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the coordination and execution of strategic initiatives, preparing materials and presentations for senior leadership and teams across Global Asset Management, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across retail, wealth, and institutional clients. This role will provide you with exposure to large-scale transformation projects and the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that unlock operational capacity and drive organizational growth.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $52,890 to $68,440.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible, however, you do not need to be in a registered Co-op program to be considered for this role

How you’ll succeed

  • Strategic Initiative Support. You will assist in the coordination and execution of key transformation and strategic projects across investment solutioning & operations, enterprise data, technology modernization, infrastructure, and operational efficiency. You’ll help prepare business cases, executive-level presentations, and analytical reports, support cross-functional project teams, and ensure that all deliverables are completed efficiently and in line with established standards and procedures.

  • Analytical Problem Solving. Under the guidance of the Director, Transformation & Strategic Initiatives, you will contribute to the identification and implementation of solutions that enhance operational capacity and drive organizational growth. You’ll participate in process reviews, analyze data, and help develop recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness across retail, wealth, and institutional channels.

  • Leveraging Technology and Data. You will play an active role in supporting technology modernization and data management efforts. This includes updating and maintaining project documentation, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative information, and supporting the integration of new tools and systems to enable better decision-making and operational outcomes.

  • Continuous Improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects focused on process optimization and business improvement initiatives. Your organizational skills will help drive efficiencies and enhance the overall experience for internal stakeholders and clients. All work will be performed in compliance with CIBC policies, standards, and controls.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication. You will work alongside senior leaders to support the creation of communications, presentations, and strategic materials for a variety of audiences, including executive leadership, business partners, and external stakeholders. This role involves regular interaction with multiple functional areas, contributing to relationship building, knowledge sharing, and the advancement of strategic priorities across the organization.

  • You're motivated by collective success. You have a collaborative spirit and a proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key client and internal stakeholders.

  • You are an organized multi-tasker.  The role is dynamic and high-paced and requires the ability to prioritize and manage a wide range of responsibilities while, at the same time, developing an understanding of our clients and strategies. You are an experienced self-motivated investment professional, with a demonstrated reputation for excellence, intellectual curiosity, and a strong work ethic

  • You can demonstrate experience in applications including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Bloomberg.
