JOB SUMMARY

The Room Attendant will perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the hotel rooms, including the restrooms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stock supply cart with cleaning supplies needed for the shift.
  • Clean guest rooms, including, but not limited to, stripping and making the beds, emptying trash, cleaning mirrors, dusting furniture and fixtures, and cleaning the bathroom.
  • Replenish guest rooms and baths with amenities, supplies, linen, and towels.
  • Inspect room for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly.
  • Report request for repairs or maintenance to supervisor.
  • After completion of each room, report room status to front desk.
  • After completion of allotted number of rooms, store cart and supplies and empty trash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies or members of the staff.
  • Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.
  • Excellent math and communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. No experience necessary.
