A busser assists in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness inside the restaurant, clearing tables, and providing general assistance to guests and staff. Responsibilities may include clearing dishes, refilling beverages, restocking supplies, and ensuring a clean and tidy environment for guests. Customer Service skills and attention to detail are important in this role. Hours may vary, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Maintains full knowledge of restaurant lay-outs. Will assist in assigned restaurant(s).
-Must learn and demonstrate knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures.
-Ensures clean dishes are stocked and organized. Advises management when inventory levels for dishware, glassware, utensils, condiments and other items to be stocked) may need adjusted (too much / too little).
-Will follow required rotation of items in inventory for freshness of consumable items and appropriate china / glass / utensils by outlet.
-Communicates to management in a timely fashion any guest compliments or complaints.
-Candidate must maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, have excellent communication skills and be able to work with the public in a large dining room.
-Candidate will assist in restaurant as needed and will perform all other duties as assigned.
-Will work nights, weekends, holidays and special events.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. One year of food or hospitality service experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and menus. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts for par levels.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Basic computer skills required.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Candidate must be able to obtain appropriate licensing. Serve safe Food Handler’s License.
