KEY OBJECTIVE:
The AVP, DevOps and Release will be working closely with Quality Assurance, Development, Project Management and Database teams in creating builds/executables, building smoke tests, deploying new builds to test and production environments, automating builds and deployments, creating/maintaining thorough deployment and environment documentation and troubleshooting release related issues.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a team of Release engineers and DBAs, and a tech currency team.
Accountable for the infrastructure and deployment needs of the project teams and support teams.
Accountable for the infrastructure and applications (on-prem and Azure), and their on-going support.
Accountable for the currency/upgrades of these environments (infrastructure upgrades).
Maintain and enhance the process documentation around noted activities.
Maintain documentation of non-production and production environments.
Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize requests and set expectations.
Work closely with Development teams to maintain existing applications and onboard new applications.
Accountable for the security of these environments including adherence to Chubb Global security and infrastructure requirements and respond to developing security risks.
Implement and maintain DevSecOps (CI/CD) pipelines for applications.
Migrate applications from the on-prem data center to Azure.
Manage monthly and off cycle production deployments.
