he Production Engineer owns all welding, brazing, and heat‑treat processes, driving equipment performance, process maturity, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role provides technical leadership on the shop floor—resolving production issues, supporting NPI programs, executing root‑cause corrective actions, and ensuring robust, repeatable joining processes. Welding and joining processes at Chromalloy Georgia include Resistance, TIG, Laser, Electron Beam welding, and furnace brazing of advanced alloys used in turbine engine component manufacturing and repair.
The engineer develops new methods, tools, and equipment upgrades to improve quality, yield, and efficiency. As the process owner, they create and maintain all production documentation, including WQPs/WPSs, and lead initiatives focused on yield improvement, rework reduction, and process innovation.
