Registered Nurse (RN) - Transitional Neuro Unit

Full Time - Day/Midnight (7AM-7PM and 7PM-7AM)

Weekends and holidays as required

The Transitional Neuro Unit is a 6-bed step down unit that focuses on the patients that were stepped down from the Neuro Critical Care unit at the Christiana Hospital. The Neuro Critical Care Unit focuses on the care of neurological and neurosurgical patients.  This includes (but is not limited to), hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke, cerebral aneurysms, brain tumors, brain and spine infections, complicated spine surgeries, hydrocephalus, neuromuscular disorders, seizures/status epilepticus, and isolated neurotrauma. Our highly motivated nursing staff and strong preceptor group promote professionalism, education, and camaraderie

Education & Requirements:

  • Current RN license to work in the state of Delaware.
  • BSN required; commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of the date of hire
  • BLS Certification is required.
  • RN must have at least two years of RN experience working in an ICU, stepdown, or progressive care unit.

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
