Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician I will perform entry-level duties as assigned in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of equipment, buildings, and its infrastructure in accordance with federal and state regulations and policies and procedures of the corporation.

Environmental and Working Conditions:
The Maintenance Technician I must be able to move throughout the buildings and grounds as needed throughout the day. It is possible that the work may include exposure to residents and/or patients with AIDS, HIV, and hepatitis B viruses involving Risk Classification Categories 1, 2, and 3**. Environmental conditions will fluctuate. To be qualified for the position, applicants and teammates will have the ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to themselves or others.

Physical and Mental Effort:
The Maintenance Technician I must be able to move throughout the buildings and grounds as needed throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines.
Essential Functions:

Performs general maintenance functions with oversight, including but not limited to repair/replacement of plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, doors, and related hardware, windows and screens, floor covering, furnishing and fixtures, painting/finishing of surfaces, pouring/finishing concrete walks, etc. |

Maintains tools, equipment, vehicles, and assigned work area in a clean and safe condition. |
|
Possesses the ability to operate powered equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, and pruning saws. |
|
Complies with Lock-Out-Tag-Out and all OSHA safety requirements. |
|
Groundskeeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance. |
|
Interpersonal skills to interact with teammates, residents, and guests in a pleasant manner. |
|
Practices safe and secure environment, reporting to a supervisor any observed issues. |
|
Attends orientation programs and ongoing educational classes. |
|
Performs other assigned tasks as requested and in accordance with policies and procedures. |
