Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate patient registration and admission processes within the hospital's clinic setting. They are responsible for greeting patients and confirming and/or updating information and demographics, verifying insurance coverage, and creating a positive and welcoming experience for patients. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.

Pay Range

Minimum $21.98 Midpoint $29.13 Maximum $36.28

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

· Required: Three (3) years’ experience in healthcare registration, admissions, scheduling, or related customer service roles is required.

· Preferred: Five (5) years’ experience in healthcare registration, admissions, scheduling, or related customer service roles is required.

Education

· Required: High School Diploma. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.

· Preferred: Associate Degree or higher

· Required: N/A

· Preferred: N/A

Specialized Skills

· Required: Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate and efficiently use electronic health record (EHR) systems and other software applications. Excellent communication skills.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:

Sedentary - Very light energy level Lift 10 lbs. box overhead. Lift and carry 15 lbs. Push/pull 20 lbs. cart.
