Job Summary

**This will start out as an 8-hour position with a goal of transitioning to 12-hour shifts

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with L&D experience to join a new and growing team. We are opening a Special Delivery Unit in Spring of 2026 and we are looking to have OB technicians that are ready to be a part of this new innovative department. As part of the comprehensive fetal care vision, Rady Children’s will be opening a Special Delivery Unit where families with high risk babies, low risk mothers can receive fetal intervention and deliver in the same place their baby needs to be to receive their specialized care after delivery.

The Special Delivery Unit (SDU) will consist of triage, LDRP’s and ORs. Working with an interdisciplinary team, the OB technicians will be assisting the in the care/treatment for the maternal population during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum. This will include ground breaking fetal intervention procedures. The role requires ensuring quality care is provided according to policies and procedures and completes other duties as assigned. Assist in both operating room and delivery room as needed within scope of practice. All while focused on our family centered care.

Pay Range

Minimum $24.25 Midpoint $32.12 Maximum $39.99

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: Minimum one (1) year OR experience in OB specialty

• Preferred: One (1) year experience in fetal procedures

Education

• Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Graduate of Surgical Technology program or military training.

• Preferred: College coursework with Associate or Bachelor's degree
