Job Summary
This position reports to the Supervisor of SWT, Plant Operations, and is responsible for carrying out both corrective and planned maintenance tasks as assigned. The Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services by performing maintenance on mechanical equipment and general building upkeep. Responsibilities may include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure to support a functional healthcare environment. The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the plant operations team to prioritize tasks and maintain operational safety standards.Pay Range
Minimum $26.73 Midpoint $35.41 Maximum $44.10Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
EXPERIENCE:
· Required: Two (2) years plant or maintenance experience.
· Preferred: Five (5) years plant or maintenance experience
EDUCATION:
· Required: High School education or GED
Licensure:
· Preferred: EPA 608 universal certification, trade school or on the job training
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES
Required: Two (2) years plant experience working on mechanical equipment: Chillers, package boilers, cooling towers, Building Management System (BMS), HVAC.
Preferred: · Knowledge of CMMS · Experience in general maintenance in one or more of the following: Plumbing, Electrical, medical gas systems, BMS (controls), fire alarm, nurse call, temperature monitoring, carpentry, pneumatic tube systems, and other general maintenance.
Work Environments - Functional Demand:
Heavy - Very high energy level Lift over 50 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. a distance of 30 feet. Push/pull > 200 lbs. (ie. Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer or max assist sit to stand transfer.Physical Activity Lifting
Lifting (Floor to waist level) - Frequent 36-66%, Lifting (Waist level and above) - Frequent 36-66%Sensory Requirements:
