Job Summary
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist II - HADL performs pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phase testing of all complexities as defined by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act/Amendment (CLIA). This includes specialized tests and analysis in one or more areas of clinical laboratory such as Hematology and Coagulation, Molecular Pathology, and Flow Cytometry to obtain data for use in diagnosis and recording laboratory test results. As a translational research sub-specialty lab, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist II - HADL may provide research expertise by participating in the design and implementation of test development and research projects as needed. Responsible for specific and assigned aspects of research infrastructure development, coordinates projects, and communicates status and improvement areas to leadership.Pay Range
Minimum $47.99 Midpoint $63.60 Maximum $79.20Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum six (6) months of Clinical Laboratory experience.
• Preferred: Over two (2) years of Clinical Laboratory experience. Research experience and previous experience in the design of laboratory developed tests (LDT).
Education
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or equivalent degree.
Training
• Required: None required.

• Required: Must be detail oriented, able to meet deadlines, and demonstrate leadership ability and critical thinking. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to build and establish positive relationships with stakeholders and staff at all levels. Able to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and on the telephone. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Intermediate or advanced computer, spreadsheet, & database skills. Ability to perform duties accurately, efficiently, and independently, meeting the standards of all departments.
Licensure
• Required: A current and valid Clinical Lab Scientist – CA (CLS) license.
