About this role

Summary

Chobani Information Technology is seeking a highly technical and experienced SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Functional Lead to design, configure, and deliver procurement solutions within our SAP S/4HANA landscape. This role is focused on hands-on functional solution development within SAP and is not positioned as the primary business liaison.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across SAP S/4HANA P2P processes and configuration options, with a proven ability to prototype solutions in non-production environments, demonstrate system capabilities to stakeholders, and lead those solutions through the full SDLC into production. This role will be a key technical influencer, helping business users understand SAP-native solution options and guiding decision-making through demonstrated system functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical functional lead for Procure-to-Pay processes within SAP S/4HANA, owning solution design and configuration execution.
  • Design, configure, and optimize SAP S/4HANA P2P solutions, including:
    • Requisition-to-Purchase Order workflows
    • Purchase Orders, Contracts, and Scheduling Agreements
    • Goods Receipt and Service Entry Sheets
    • Invoice Verification, including 2-way and 3-way matching
    • Vendor and procurement-related master data
  • Maintain deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA P2P capabilities, configuration options, and standard functionality to guide solution design and prevent unnecessary customization.
  • Build and configure solutions in non-production environments (sandbox, development, QA) to:
    • Demonstrate solution options to business and IT stakeholders
    • Validate feasibility of proposed process changes
    • Support informed decision-making through working system examples
  • Lead solutions through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including:
    • Functional configuration and documentation
    • Test planning and execution (SIT, UAT support)
    • Defect resolution and solution refinement
    • Cutover preparation and go-live readiness
  • Partner closely with ABAP, integration, security, and Basis teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for SAP P2P, influencing business users by clearly articulating:
    • SAP standard capabilities and constraints
    • Available solution patterns and tradeoffs
    • Best-fit approaches aligned with enterprise standards
  • Support continuous improvement of existing P2P solutions, identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve controls, and enhance system usability.
  • Ensure delivered solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with Chobani’s enterprise architecture and compliance requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience, with deep focus on Procure-to-Pay.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring SAP S/4HANA P2P solutions across multiple procurement and invoice processing workflows.
  • Strong functional expertise in:
    • SAP Materials Management (MM)
    • Procurement and Vendor Management
    • Invoice Verification and FI integration
  • Proven experience building and demonstrating SAP solutions in non-production environments.
  • Experience delivering SAP functionality through structured SDLC processes into production environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system design skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP Ariba or third-party procurement and invoice automation tools.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-entity or global SAP landscapes.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, CPG, or food & beverage environments.
  • SAP S/4HANA Procurement certification(s) a plus.
  • Experience supporting ECC to S/4HANA upgrades or large-scale SAP transformations.
