The Adolescent Health Clinic at Children’s Minnesota is a multidisciplinary team of medical and mental health professionals.
 

Our care model seamlessly weaves psychosocial support into every facet of health care delivery. Providers and an integrated behavioral health team, including a psychologist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), form a collaborative, expanding practice. Supporting staff, such as registered nurses, clinical case coordinators, and mental health professionals, are shared with two specialty clinics to enhance coordinated care.

Enjoy work-life balance with a standard outpatient clinical care schedule, Monday – Friday.

Serve a diverse patient population providing primary and secondary health care services, including well adolescent care, LGBTQ care, medical management of eating disorders and chronic illnesses, and sexual and reproductive health services such as contraception, PrEP, and STI testing and treatment. Opportunities for teaching residents and medical students, as well as educational leadership and advocacy initiatives, are available. Easy access to collaborate with 75+ pediatric subspecialties, allowing for comprehensive and integrated patient care.
 

Opportunities to provide additional specialized care based on interests, including gender health, sexual and reproductive health, eating disorders, and potentially addiction medicine.



Education
M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from another country
Board BE/BC in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics
*Completion of an ACGME Accredited Fellowship program in Adolescent Medicine 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Clinical competency and expertise in caring for hospitalized children.
Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
Knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.
In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Respect for patient's confidentiality.
Compassionate and approachable.
Responsible and trustworthy.
