Department OverviewChildren's Hospitals and Clinics Foundation department is the fundraising arm of Children's. Gifts to the Foundation support treatment programs, provide support for patients and families, fund medical research, and raise awareness of pediatric health issues throughout the community.
Position SummaryThe Administrative Assistant I facilitates the efficient operation of the designated department and/or manager(s) within the designated department by performing a variety of administrative tasks, such as:
answering telephones
greeting and directing visitors
maintaining and scheduling appointment calendars
handling various forms of mail (i.e. paper, email, overnight express, fax)
ordering office supplies and furnishings
arranging for equipment repairs
maintaining filing systems and/or computerized record keeping systems and/or databases
completing standardized forms
handle all confidential correspondence and inter-department communications
perform other duties, as assigned
License/Certification/Registration required? No
Education:
High school degree or GED, required
Experience:
One-year experience in a general office setting OR completion of specialized training/certification in the administrative professional field, required
Experience in healthcare/hospital setting, preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience and demonstrated competency in MS Office Suite applications
Strong oral and written interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast paced, evolving work environment
Ability to deal with highly confidential information in a professional manner
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
