Summary:
The PRN Transporter works alongside the paramedic transport team to transport non-critical patients within the hospital. These patients can be transported via stretcher, wagon, wheelchair, or parents can carry the child. The Transporter will assist in managing the customer service experience of the patient and their families. This position reports to the team lead or manager.  You will work at least 10 hours a week supporting patients with the flexible to pick up 2-hour shifts as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safe and timely transport of non-critical patients within CMC
• Assists the transport paramedic as secondary transporter in accordance to C.P. 3.19 Transport of Patients
• Understands scope of role and recognizes and escalates any assigned task that exceeds scope to management in accordance to C.P. 3.19 Transport of Patients
• Must work as a team member in supporting Transport goals and the Mission of Children’s

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Less than 1 year preferred

• High school diploma or GED required

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements 30 Days required
