This summer you could have the opportunity to work for one of the leading fashion retailers in North America, Chico's FAS is a company of three unique brands – Chico's, White House Black Market, and Soma. Our 11-week Summer Internship Program is the perfect way to gain work experience within the core of the organization.
Position Objective:
The Technical Design Intern will assist the technical design team with the entire product process, from development through the production stage. The intern will sit in on fit sessions, take fit notes, create and update production spec packages, measure samples and work with the technical team on strategies to solve fit issues.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Be exposed to the total business processes and procedures
- Gain an understanding of the roles of the retail professionals
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Critical eye for detail and proportion
- Strong measurement and technical skills
- Junior or Senior status at an accredited college or university with minimum GPA of 3.0
- Interest in pursuing a career in retail
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and an eagerness to learn

The Chico’s FAS Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2026 and 2027 college students to work with several of our brands (Chico’s, Soma, and White House Black Market) to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project.
