Job DetailsJob Location: Chesapeake Spice Co MD - Belcamp, MD 21017Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School/GEDSalary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Distribution - ShippingJob Summary: The Shipping Associate is responsible for efficiently managing outgoing shipments to support warehouse operations. This role involves verifying shipments, handling materials, updating inventory systems, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.     Responsibilities: Pick, pack and prepare outbound shipments according to customer and carrier specifications. Accurately label and document shipments. Enter shipping information into inventory or warehouse management log. Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and reporting discrepancies. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment safely (if trained and certified). Follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Follow all GMP’s according to company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma/GED required 1+ year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment preferred. Basic computer skills; familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Ability to lift and move up to 75lbs regularly. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Forklift certification is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Consistent and timely attendance Work in an environment that is noisy, dusty and may contain spices with high heat intensity and allergens Physically demanding role: standing, walking, lifting, bending for most of the shift. Withstand working in warehouse environment with cold and hot temperatures for long periods of time Ability to perceive and respond to auditory cues, including speech, horns, and machinery alarms, with or without reasonable accommodation Must have sufficient visual acuity, including near and far vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision, to safely operate a forklift, read labels and signage, and navigate around equipment, products, and personnel in a dynamic warehouse environment. Must be able to read and write in English to understand shipping instructions and complete documentation May require overtime, weekend shifts, or flexible scheduling depending on shipping volume.
