JOB SUMMARY: Develop coursework to support effective instruction of homeschool students at the school level. Effectively deliver instruction that promotes an exemplary educational program and ensures success for all students.

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Bachelor's degree
• Student teaching/practicum/internship experience that meets or exceeds Colorado's requirements
• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
• Appropriate CDE endorsements or equivalent in the content field
• Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic classroom management and planning skills
• Basic organizational skills
• Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other qualifications relevant to the position that are strongly preferred but not mandatory for a candidate to be considered.

• Formal education beyond a Bachelor’s degree
• Three (3) years of successful teaching experience
• Experience working in the public sector
• Experience advising school clubs/co-curricular activities

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: This position is hourly and pays $35/hour for licensed teachers. This position, like all of our teaching positions, is part-time and is a long term substitute through the end of April, with the possibility of future hours, but not guaranteed. The schedule for this position is Monday and Friday all day, 8am-4pm, and Tuesday/Thursday half day mornings, 8am-12pm. This position is not eligible for Health Insurance benefits. A technology teaching license is preferred, but related fields would also be accepted, including but not limited to Science, Math or other related fields. Classes include: Circuits and Electronics, Game Design, CAD, and Robotics.
