As our firm expands, we have an opportunity for an experienced tax director looking to make an impact in our South Florida practice. Located in Coral Gables or Ft. Lauderdale, FL, we seek someone who will help grow and lead our $18m South Florida tax practice and be a service director to their own client base. Relocation assistance may be provided and limited travel should be expected.  

This experienced tax director will collaborate with the  South Florida Tax leaders to drive regional growth and deliver quality service to our clients.  In this role, you will help coach and lead the local team to deliver quality client service, drive operational results, and grow the practice through business development efforts and expansion of services to existing clients. Previous service line, market, or industry leadership experience is desirable.

You'll also be responsible for providing tax and consulting services/projects to an existing client base. Industry experience in Real Estate, Private Equity, Technology/ Life Sciences, Industrials/Consumer Goods, or similar is preferred. International experience is a plus. To continue our success, we're looking for a results-driven director who will contribute to expanding the practice by using their strong professional network presence and by engaging in business development opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients. 
• Execute the Firm and Tax Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the South Florida tax practice.
• Ensure discipline around execution of Service Line business processes and Firm business practices for the market.
• Help manage the utilization and productivity of professionals in the market to achieve operational and financial targets.
• Utilize leadership skills, acting as a role model, to provide coaching, mentoring, and training in the development professionals within the practice and build a talent pipeline with the requisite technical expertise.

Qualifications:

• Active CPA and/or JD license required; MST or LLM is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience as a tax professional working for a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm with a demonstrated record of having provided leadership, client service, and business expansion.
• Experience with developing the strategy and plans to grow a practice through expansion of services to existing clients and obtaining new clients. 
• Exceptional client service skills leading to the highest quality of execution and delivery of client engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower people and teams.
• Ability to drive success (results) through the influence.
• Excellent and enthusiastic ability to build and maintain relationships, engage others, and establish connections.   
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
