About this role

Overview

Responsibilities include planning school and other health programs, coordinating, and providing health care services to students/clients/staff by performing the following duties and responsibilities.


Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 

Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing; no substitutions. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT 

An additional one (1) year related experience is preferred.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS 

An individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Valid and current nursing license with no restrictions to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma. Current certification in CPR and first aid. Meet requirements and be willing to obtain certification as an Oklahoma School Nurse and pass the OSBI check for child sensitive positions.  Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).  Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
