About this role

Overview

Assists pharmacists in providing medication and other health care products to patients. Serves as an interdepartmental liaison and pharmacy and patient advocate.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• No additional experience required.


COMPETENCIES
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Oral and written communication skills.

• Organizational skills.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and maintain throughout employment. Can be obtained during orientation.
• Must obtain a Pharmacy Technician Permit within 60 days of employment as specified by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
• Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
