About this role

Overview

Provides nursing assistance to doctors and nurses in the care and treatment of patients across the life span, including medical, surgical, pediatric, psychiatric, and obstetrical patients. Provides a broad range of duties in an inpatient setting including but not limited to, administrative and clinical functions within their scope of practice, training, and applicable rules and regulations.


Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

None required.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

An individual should know Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Order processing systems and Payroll systems.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Basic Life Support (BLS) can be obtained through orientation and must be maintained throughout employment.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and medical terminology.  Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information. The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

 

Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

Work Hours: 7a-7:30p
