About this role

Overview

Responsible for performing duties while demonstrating a working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use and equipment handling within the healthcare environment.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six (6) months of related experience preferred.

 

COMPETENCIES

• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Self-direction.
• Physical stamina.
• Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must obtain DOT Training Certification within sixty (60) days of hire and maintain throughout employment.
• Must obtain Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) Certification within one (1) year of hire and maintain throughout employment.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
• May be required to meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
