Summary

Are you a skilled Stationary Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment? At Chenega, we support critical government facilities, and we’re looking for a dedicated professional to ensure our building systems operate at peak performance.

 

This position is contingent upon award and not currently funded. 

 


Responsibilities

What You'll Get To Do:

 

  • Operate and handle mechanical equipment such as boilers and stationary engines.
  • Monitor equipment and observe water, fuel, and air levels data.
  • Maintain equipment as needed.
  • Conduct all necessary tests to ensure equipment functions correctly.
  • Diagnose, repair, and operate central chillers, compressed-air equipment, waste trim equipment, and process vacuum equipment.
  • Test and maintain fire sprinkler systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

 

  • Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in HVAC.
  • Must be able to interpret and apply blueprints and complicated equipment control diagrams.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough working knowledge of refrigeration theory.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $47.74/Hr.
