SummaryJoin a highly trained security team supporting Chenega and CDC in Atlanta, GA. As a Response Team Officer, you’ll be part of either the Mobile Response Team or Quick Reaction Force, responding rapidly to critical incidents like active shooter situations, workplace violence, or other high-threat events.
You’ll use specialized tactics, equipment, and firearms to help ensure safety and security in high-risk environments.
The hourly pay rate for this role is $22.80.
Responsibilities- Execute Security Operations: Follow directives from leadership and carry out general and special orders in accordance with Chenega and CDC protocols.
- Maintain Tactical Readiness: Participate in physically demanding training, maintain physical fitness, and stay current on all required certifications.
- Ensure Weapons Proficiency: Stay qualified with all assigned weapons systems and maintain readiness to use force, including deadly force if necessary.
- Provide Armed Security Services: Conduct patrols, inspections, access control, traffic control, and escort duties for VIPs and government personnel.
- Support Emergency Response: Be available for 24/7 recall and flexible shifts, including during natural disasters, critical missions, or emergencies.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Support overall mission readiness and safety through additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications- Education & Age Requirement: Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 21 years old.
- Experience Preferred: Prior military or law enforcement experience (minimum 1 year preferred) is highly valued.
- Licensing & Legal Compliance: Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license, meet all federal/state security guard requirements, and have no disqualifying criminal history or drug use.
- Physical & Psychological Readiness: Must pass the Physical Efficiency Battery (PEB), drug/alcohol screenings, and psychological evaluations (MMPI-2 and Shipley).
- Certifications & Firearms Proficiency: Must complete all required training, maintain weapons qualifications, and obtain a state-issued firearm license within 180 days of hire.
