Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform laboratory testing and specimen collection in support of the Indian Health Service’s Northern Cheyenne Service Unit in Lame Deer, Montana.

• Perform, update and/or review Quality Control, Calibrations, and Maintenance.
• Prepare patients and collect blood specimens utilizing arterial puncture, venipuncture or capillary methods.

• Prepare patients for collection of other specimen types such as urine and stool.
• Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens using various diagnostic laboratory equipment such as analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.
• Review, verify and report patient results.
• Laboratory specific orientation, training and competency assessment will be provided by the Service Unit as needed.

• 5-7 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist by a recognized certifying body (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
• Familiarity with IHS Systems such as RPMS or VistA

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be proficient in major areas of the clinical laboratory, such as clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, blood bank, serology, urinalysis, microbiology, and molecular testing.
• Must be proficient at capillary and venous blood collection.
• Must be able to interact with a diverse patient range, from newborn to elderly, across hospitals and clinics.
• Have good communication and people skills.
• Have good work ethic, being punctual and working the days scheduled to work.
