CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT:

As a Fitting Tailor at CHANEL, you are a guardian of the art of the Perfect Fit, embodying the Maison’s commitment to excellence through every client fitting and each of your technical interventions.

You work in close synergy with the Fashion Advisors, orchestrating a seamless fitting experience and creating moments of wonder for every client.

Your role is key in bringing the CHANEL&moi ready-to-wear engagement to life, anchored in four fundamental pillars that shape your daily work while offering unique opportunities for development and knowledge sharing: Technical Expertise, Client Relationship, Style, and Services.

You report directly to the RTW Sales Manager, while maintaining a dotted-line collaboration with the CHANEL&moi RTW & Ecole de la Retouche team in Paris. This dual reporting structure ensures seamless alignment between boutique objectives and technical excellence in alterations.

IN THIS METIER, YOU ARE ENERGISED BY:

1. Tailoring Technical Expertise

• You possess technical expertise specific to CHANEL Tailoring and ensure that each piece is perfectly fitted, regardless of the garment’s complexity or the client’s body shape, making sure your adjustments are invisible and have no impact on the integrity of the garment.
• You analyze garment cuts, identify irregularities, and propose tailored adjustments using the exclusive expertise passed on through the École de la Retouche, which supports your professional development throughout your career at CHANEL.
• You excel in the art of CHANEL Flat Pinning and in the Ribbon techniques, guaranteeing freedom of movement for clients during fittings while offering them an accurate preview of the final result. Your craftsmanship is also expressed through precise measuring, meticulous sewing gestures, mirror work, and careful control at every stage.
• You share and pass on your expertise to boutique teams, apprentices, and new tailors, actively contributing to the understanding and preservation of CHANEL’s tailoring craftsmanship.

2. Client Relationship

• You aim to build a relationship of trust with each client by demonstrating active listening, keen observation skills, and constant attention to her needs and to how she perceives her own body shape. You are able to read non-verbal cues, anticipate expectations, explain each adjustment with clarity and reassurance, turning each fitting into a unique moment that fosters client loyalty and recognition.
• You consistently deliver on the Perfect Fit promise, respecting agreed-upon details and timelines, you communicate proactively with the team to ensure a seamless alteration experience.
• You work hand in hand with Fashion Advisors to deliver a flawless fitting experience, turning each fitting moment including VIC appointments or exclusive event into a moment of wonder for every client.

3. Style

• You possess a professional tailoring and style vocabulary and have a deep knowledge in the stylistic codes of the House. Drawing on this expertise, you enrich every fitting, transforming each moment into an opportunity to showcase the Maison’s heritage craftsmanship and Perfect Fit.
• During client fittings, in partnership with the FA, you are able to express, valorize and preserve the Allure of the collection as a signature of the Maison.
• You are aware with competitors' latest collections and specific cuts; you are able to recognize "It" pieces to understand clients’ preferences and further valorize CHANEL tailoring differences while respecting their style.

4. Services

• You play a key role in the Ready-to-Wear experience. Whenever possible, you are present in the RTW area to highlight the importance of tailoring in the Allure journey at CHANEL, especially during collection launches or quieter times in the atelier.
• You manage end-to-end alteration services and tools, working closely with key stakeholders to continuously enhance the CHANEL&moi ready-to-wear commitment of the House, ensuring a memorable experience for the clients.
• Your digital agility allows you to follow and understand atelier KPI’s, propose and support action plans to improve the activity management.
• You proactively manage client fittings, streamline atelier workflows, and partner with boutique teams to guarantee an ultimate client experience.
• You are a Tailoring boutique voice, proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of the CHANEL&moi RTW program, providing insights and sharing your expertise.
